Eight Milbank High School students were named Region 4A Oral Interpretation champions during the region meet at Northern State University in Aberdeen Tuesday, November 14. The students will now advance to the Class A State Oral Interp Festival scheduled for December 1-2 at Aberdeen Central High School.

Earning top honors at the region meet were, as pictured, front row, left to right, Devon Balling, Hope Osborn, Peyten Wiese, Heidi Capp and Becca Loehrer, and back row, Landon Brown, Lars Andersen, and Nathan Loutsch. The students qualified in the following divisions – readers theatre team of Devon Balling, Becca Loehrer, Hope Osborn, Landon Brown and Peyten Wiese; duet, Nathan Loutsch and Lars Andersen; humorous reading, Heidi Capp; serious reading and storytelling, Hope Osborn; poetry, Devon Balling, and non-original oratory, Lars Andersen.

The local students have been competing since the beginning of October. The results from their various meets are following:
