The first American Red Cross Bloodmobile blood drive of 2018 is Tuesday, February 27, from noon to 6 p.m. at Unity Square.
The goal is to collect 110 units. “Because the last blood drive was less than 110 days ago, we are working hard to fill the appointment slots,” said Margaret Skoog, organizer. “There are appointments open. We are far from being full.”
To set up an appointment online visit www.redcross.org. Walk-ins are welcome, but are not accepted until after 2:30 p.m.
Wait time can be dramatically reduced by using RapidPass. Donors complete the pre-donation reading and answer the health history questionnaire online the day of their donation to accelerate the process. To complete RapidPass go to www.red-crossblod.org/rapidpass.
