Middle School Students Spell it Out

Savanna Osowski represented Milbank Middle School at the regional spelling bee in Watertown on Saturday, February 24. She placed fifth.

The top three finishers from the regional bee advance to the state bee to be held in Vermillion on March 17. Regional qualifiers are: Nathan Gemechis from G Mikkelson Middle School in Brookings (1st), Jamie Robbins from Watertown Middle School (2nd), and Odysseus Wernke from Castlewood Grade School (3rd).

The top three winners in Milbank Middle School’s local bee were: first place- Savanna Osowski, second place – Eli Johnson, and third place – Cole Brown.
