Jaxson Wiese of Milbank, won second place in the 9 year old division at the Knights of Columbus State Free Throw Championship in Chamberlain on Sunday, March 4. Jaxson knocked down 22 out of 25 from the charity stripe to tie for first place. In the tie-breaker round, Jaxson was defeated, but brought home the trophy for second place. The top five contestants from 18 districts competed.
Jaxson attends St. Lawrence School in Milbank. He is the son of Scott and Andrea Wiese.
