Organizers say “rain or shine” Corona’s 20th Annual St. Patrick’s Day parade and celebration will be held this Saturday, March 17. The parade starts at 2 p.m. on Main Street. Prizes will be awarded to parade entries for the most Irish, the most green, the most unique, and the best children’s and family floats. Grand marshals are Jack and Denise Lundquist. The Irish spirit award will be given to the person chosen for best Irish attire.

New events this year include bed races, which follow the parade, and the bean bag tournament at 4 p.m. Lunch starts at noon at the Senior Citizens Center. Other activities include: inflatables and a candy toss for the kids, a raffle for cash and other prizes, and the Little Lad and Lassie contest.
