The Milbank Area Special Olympics team competed in the 2018 Northeast Regional Track Meet in Watertown on May 4. The athletes entered running and field contests during the day-long event.

Results of the meet:
Briar Zuraff – 1st – standing long jump / 3rd – softball throw/ 6th – 100-meter run/ 2nd – coed team relay
Devin Pollock- 1st – 10-meter walk/ 2nd – 25- meter walk/ 3rd – softball throw
Trevor Lacek- 1st – softball throw/ 1st – standing long jump/ 5th – 100-meter run
Makenzie Wittrock- 1st – standing long jump/ 2nd – softball throw/ 3rd – 100-meter run/ 2nd – coed team relay
Jacob O’Donnoll- 4th – softball throw / 1st – running long jump / 2nd – 100-meter run / 2nd – coed team relay
Mariah Pillatzki – 2nd – softball throw/ 1st – 50-meter walk/ 1st – 100-meter run
Courtney Kroemer- 3rd – softball throw/ 1st – standing long jump/ 2nd – 100-meter run

The State Summer Games take place at Black Hills State University in Spearfish from May 17 through May19. Events in the competition include: volleyball, team soccer, aquatics, powerlifting, individual soccer skills, race walking, and track and field.
