Ortonville Police continue to search for the person or persons who, in the early morning hours of Friday, July 27, broke into the First United Methodist Church office in Ortonville. The suspects stole money and a computer. Pastor Melanie Reiners said, “It is definitely a concern when local churches are being broken into and robbed.”

During the late night hours of July 27, or early morning hours of July 28, the Ortonville Swimming Pool was also burglarized. Money and concession items were stolen. According to Ortonville Police Chief Jason Mork, sometime during the late night of July 30 or early morning hours of July 31, the Ortonville Swimming Pool was again burglarized. Mork stated an undisclosed amount of money was taken by the intruders. Police have not disclosed if the three robberies are connected.
