The undefeated Dakota Valley Panthers arrived in Milbank on Friday, September 21. They came ready to play.

The Panthers started by adding 21 points to the scoreboard in the first quarter, and shutting down all scoring attempts from the Bulldogs. In the second quarter, the Bulldog defense slowed down the Panthers and refused to let them enter the end zone. Leaders for the Milbank defense were seniors Jacob Karges with seven tackles and Tate Stricherz with six.

The Panthers racked up two more touchdowns in the third and fourth quarters, but Milbank was unable to put any points on the board. The final score was 41 – 0 in favor of Dakota Valley.

Senior Tate Stricherz said, “Dakota Valley is a good team, and they are going to be tough for anyone to beat, but we didn’t play our best football Friday night. We have to learn from it and move forward to prepare for Groton.”

The Bulldogs travel to Groton this Friday, September 28, to take on the Tigers.
