Recycling Pick-Up Ends on September 26

According to Jason Sackreiter, owner of Valley Rental and Recycling of Milbank, Wittrock and Sons will discontinue the collection of recycling materials from Milbank residences on September 26. Sackreiter says the cost of curbside recycling has become prohibitive. He says even the cost of hauling tin and plastic is so high the company loses money.

Sackreiter reminds everyone Valley Rental and Recycling will continue to pay customers for recyclable aluminum. Recyclable cardboard and paper will also still be accepted free of charge.

Tin and plastic will be accepted at Valley Rental and Recycling until October 1. After October 1, tin and plastic can be turned in to Dependable Sanitation of Watertown.
