Middle School Band Members Attend Honor Festival

Fourteen Milbank Middle School band students were selected to participate in the Eastern Dakota Junior High Music Festival. Seventh-graders included: Rachel Schulte (clarinet), Hope Karels (bass clarinet), Aubrey Fraasch (alto sax), Joe Schulte (euphonium). Eighth-graders included: Ashlyn O’Farrell (flute), Avery Whitesitt (flute), Addie Farrell (clarinet), Laney Forrette (clarinet), Elizabeth Neugebauer (clarinet), Luis Berrones (bass clarinet), Elsie Seffrood (alto sax), Emily Wollschlager (trumpet), Merik Junker (percussion), and Max Lightfield (percussion).

The Junior High Music Festival invites band students from northeast South Dakota schools. Spencer Wahl, Lennox band director was the guest conductor.  The culminating concert was held October 9 at Deuel School in Clear Lake.

The students were accompanied to the event by Susan Karels, Milbank Middle/High School Band Director.
