The Milbank Debate Team participated in the National Qualifier Student Congress Tournament in Sioux Falls on March 5. According to MHS Head Debate Coach Caitlyn Oien, “Claire Mischel was voted an Outstanding Speaker and is a first alternate for the national tournament. Lars Andersen received an Outstanding Speaker Award and is a second alternate for the national tournament. Nathan Loutsch is also a second alternate for the national tournament, and Nathan received The Donus D. Roberts Award for his achievements in public forum debate the past four years.” Marion Mischel, Cole Brown, and Trevor Molting also participated in the tournament.
