Seven MHS students placed in the top third in the state to qualify for the HOSA (Health Occupations Students of America) international leadership conference in Orlando, Florida in June. The students competed at the state HOSA competition in Sioux Falls on March 28 and March 29. The Milbank students were accompanied by their adviser Jenna Schlimme who serves as the middle school and high school nurse.
Students who qualified include:
Kylee Mogen – 1st – prepared public speaking
Gracie Korstjens -1st – extemporaneous health poster
Makenna Osowski -3rd – job seeking skills
Allison Leddy – 3rd – public service announcement
Madi Thue -3rd – public service announcement
Jessica VanPeursem – 3rd – public service announcement and 3rd – researched persuasive writing and speaking
Lars Andersen 3rd – healthcare issues exam
