The 2019 graduates of Milbank High School will be honored with a commencement ceremony on May 19 at 2 p.m. at the Milbank High School Armory. Superintendent Tim Graf will preside over the commencement activities, and Principal Dan Snaza will present the class. Jordan Riley and Ben Harstad will be the featured speakers. Music will be provided by the MHS band and vocal departments, under the direction of Susan Karels and Miriam Schwenn.
The MHS Class of 2019 has selected the dahlia as their class flower. Purple and silver were chosen for their class colors. Their motto, written by Dr. Seuss, proclaims: “You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself any direction you choose!”
The 2019 honor graduates include: Chloe Bender, Alec Bien, Jacob Brown, Sara Capp, Emmanuel Castro, Taylor Dragt, Jessica Fenhaus, Morgan Folk, Keeton Hagen, Nolan Hanson, Ben Harstad, Jaden Hoeke, Mya Johanson, Makayla Johnson, Kylie Kasuske, Jacob Koch, Nathan Loutsch, Anna Mathews, Tonya Meyer, Abigail Michels, Claire Mischel, Hope Osborn, Victoria Quade, Morgan Raffety, Jordan Riley, Jacob Sandvig, Elisabeth Schwenn, Tate Stricherz, Taylor Thue, Kimberly Van Sambeek, Abigail Weber, Mackenzie Weinkauf, Justine Wiik and Katie Wollschlager.
