Early results are in for the Milbank School District Board of Education election held today, June 4. Polls closed at 7 p.m. The 6.64% turnout of 307 voters cast ballots with the opportunity to vote for two candidates.
The unofficial count stands at 253 votes for the incumbent Tracy Upton; 200 votes for the incumbent Dick Schwandt; and 121 votes for Eric Strobl. The board will canvass the votes on Monday and the two candidates who received the most votes will begin serving on the board in July.
