Forman Reports Progress on Main Street in Milbank

Today, August 5, John Forman, administrator for the City of Milbank, updated the progress of Phase 2 of the downtown construction project. Forman reports, “With a little more than a week under our belt, sanitary sewer services near the north end of the street are complete. Also, storm sewer has been installed up to the north side of Second Avenue.”

Forman says, “This week, we anticipate the storm sewer to be completed through the Second Avenue intersection. Additional undercut completed with fabric and gravel base scheduled to be placed.” Forman predicts the remaining sidewalks at the north end of Main Street will be removed, and by week’s end -weather and schedules permitting- new curb and gutter could be installed.”
