The local Boy Scouts of America will conduct their annual Scouting for Food Drive starting on Saturday, October 19.

Boy Scout Troop 45, Girl Scout Troop 38, Cub Scout Pack 38, and their families begin the drive on October 19 by placing a door hanger or grocery sack on your door as a reminder.

The troops want to remind you to put your bag back outside your door by 9 a.m. on Saturday, October 26. Even a few items can make a big difference. The scouts will pick up your non-perishable food, toiletries, paper goods, and eyeglasses you no longer need. (Please check food expiration dates.)

Scoutmaster Jeff Loutsch says, “This food drive is instrumental in restocking the shelves at the Grant County food pantry and getting them ready for the holidays.”

If for some reason your house is missed please take your donation to Val VanLith at the food pantry located on the first floor of the Milbank Courthouse or call Scoutmaster, Jeff Loutsch at 605.432.7946.

Scoutmaster Loutsch says,  “The Milbank Scouts BSA and Cub Scouts would like to thank the Milbank community in advance for their support and heartwarming generosity in helping to keep all in our community nourished.”
