Eleven MHS senior girls take the stage on Saturday, November 9 for Milbank’s 56th Annual Snow Queen Festival. The winner will be crowned Miss Milbank 2020 and receive a $500 scholarship. The first runner-up receives a $250 scholarship and the second runner-up receives a $150 scholarship provided by The Valley Express. Twenty-five kindergarten girls will also appear on stage in the Little Miss Milbank contest.
Entertainment will be provided by The Suns of The West. The Suns of the West band, started by former Milbank residents Neil and Terry Bagaus, was inducted into the South Dakota Music Hall of Fame in September.

The Snow Queen Festival begins at 7 p.m. in the Milbank High School Theater. Doors open at 6 p.m. Advanced tickets are $5 each and available for purchase at Bat Mobile Wireless in Milbank through Friday, November 8. Tickets will also be on sale in the MHS lobby on Saturday from 10 a.m to noon and prior to the festival at the door.
The After Party, which includes a live band and food from 8-11 p.m is at the Lantern Inn in Milbank. Tickets are $5 at the door and open to everyone.
