Angel Tree Christmas Charity Needs Your Help
Local News November 26, 2019 Staff Writer 0
Heaven can wait, but the Angel Tree can’t!
If you already selected an angel tree card, don’t forget to purchase your gifts, wrap, and place them back under the tree by December 11. Haven’t gotten a card, yet? Hurry! Cards have all been selected at First Bank & Trust and Great Western Bank, but many remain at Wells Fargo Bank.
The card tells the age of the recipient (infants up to seniors in high school), the child’s needs, sizes, and interests. (The suggested spending amount $40.) If any cards remain on the tree, local children will awake on Christmas morning to discover there is no Santa and no presents.
The Grant County Christian Service Council, local banks, and Interlakes Community Action Partnership (ICAP) again have teamed up to continue the Angel Tree tradition. Val VanLith of ICAP says,” I am amazed at what a giving community Milbank is and always has been and how many kids we have kept from being disappointed on Christmas.”
If you are unable to participate in the project, but would like to make a donation, please call Val at ICAP at 605.432.6571.
