Small towns dream of young people going away to college and returning home to work or to start a business. Milbank native Adam Jones... Adam Jones Returns to Milbank to Start Insurance Business

Small towns dream of young people going away to college and returning home to work or to start a business. Milbank native Adam Jones has moved back to Milbank and opened Insurance Plus on Main Street.

Adam offers over 30 brands of insurance and a variety of products for maximum flexibility to cover your home, auto, farm or ranch, business, crops, health, life, and employee benefits. And he offers something else — service.

Switching your insurance to Adam’s agency doesn’t have to mean a drastic change. You can still, for example, have a Progressive, Allstate, or Farmers Mutual policy and typically it won’t cost you any more than when you deal directly with a company. In fact, Adam says you get more for the same price. No waiting on hold to talk to someone in a far away call center. You have someone right here in Milbank to help you with your claim and answer your questions.

“Insurance Plus offers a lot of options, and people have a lot of questions about insurance,” Adam says. “And my job is to help you make sense of it all. One question that often comes up is: ‘Why the heck did you ever go into insurance?’” He laughs and says, “Apparently, people think insurance is boring.” Adam disagrees. “The most rewarding part of my job is working with clients to help them find a policy that best fits their needs and budget. Everyone’s situation is a little different, which keeps every day exciting.”

Whatever your insurance needs, Adam has you covered. Or he wants to help get you covered. He says, “I am uniquely positioned to assist people in Milbank because Insurance Plus is a larger agency with a small town feel. Our main office is in Aberdeen. So, along with all of the resources our portfolio of companies provides for us, I can confer with about 20 agents in the Aberdeen office. They have decades of experience.” Adam’s dad, Jeff Jones, also works for an insurance company as their marketing representative for South Dakota. And Adam says, “I have learned a lot from him.”

Adam graduated from MHS in 2012 and South Dakota State University in 2016 with a degree in economics with a business specialization and a minor in accounting. His wife, Presley, grew up in Summit. He says, “We wanted to move back to this area to raise our kids, and we were both fortunate to have career opportunities to allow us to do so.” Presley is the home health care manager for Coteau Health Care System Hospital in Sisseton. “Family is important to us.” As if on cue, Adam’s mom, Kathy, had stopped in to check on the newest member of the Jones family. Adam and Presley’s baby girl, Lainey, was born on March 14, and she became the fourth generation of the Jones family to live in Milbank.

Adam says, “ In my opinion, the best part about living in Milbank is the community and how everyone looks out for each other. There’s a peace of mind you get when you live in a small town.” And isn’t that what insurance is really about? Peace of mind.

Contact Adam for your peace of mind at Insurance Plus at 605.467.2107 or stop by to see him at 203 South Main Street.
