Dr. Regg Hagge has joined the staff of Avera Medical Group Milbank. He begins work in Milbank on May 26.
“We are excited to include Dr. Hagge on our team as he brings a wealth of experience in obstetrics, emergency-room medicine and much more,” said Natalie Gauer, Milbank Area Hospital Avera administrator. “He has spent much of his career serving patients in rural areas.”
Hagge completed his medical training at the University of Nebraska Medical Center and his residency at the university’s rural health training site in Scottsbluff, Nebraska. He is currently practicing and will be relocating from Newcastle, Wyoming.
“As a family practice physician, one of the most rewarding parts of my work is getting to know patients and their families, and I look forward to doing so in Milbank,” Hagge said. “I know the team at Avera Medical Group Milbank and Milbank Area Hospital Avera is dedicated to the community and the families who live here. I will add to the team and look forward to living out the Avera mission.”
Hagge holds certifications in many areas within family medicine and can offer a number of procedures, including obstetrics and related processes. “Dr. Hagge is an excellent family medicine physician, and Milbank is fortunate that he and his family are making plans to join our community,” said Dr. Kevin Bjordahl, family physician of Avera Medical Group Milbank.
His wife, Danielle, and their four children will join him to live in Milbank this summer. When not seeing patients, Hagge said he enjoys hobby ranching and flying.
Avera Medical Group Milbank provides primary care, family practice, general surgery, and obstetrical services. Hospital care includes 24-hour emergency room care; critical care; diagnostic imaging, including CT, MRI and ultrasound; digital mammography; mobile nuclear medicine; OB/GYN services; same-day and inpatient surgery; and much more.

He will also offer support to the satellite clinics located in Big Stone City, Revillo, Waubay, and Wilmot and served by Patrick Dreis, PA-C; Brenda Holscher, PA-C; Peggy Schuelke, CNP; and Susan Leddy, CNP.
