The Grant County Public Library reopens its doors to the public Tuesday, June 9. During June, library hours are Monday through Thursday from 1- 6 p.m. and Friday from 1-5 pm. The library will be closed on Saturday and Sunday.
Patrons are asked to wear masks inside the building, use the hand sanitizer provided, and maintain a six foot distance from other patrons. During June, the library also asks all children under 13 to be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Half of the public computers will be available for use. According to the library director Jody Carlson, “No toys or Legos will be available for the children and we have removed most of the chairs, as we do not want to encourage loitering.”
She says, “Our library surfaces will be sanitized each morning before opening and we will continue to use sanitizing wipes on our returned items before shelving. Sanitizing computers between usage is also another important step.”
Sign up for the Summer Reading Program begins June 15. Packets are available at the library.
