COVID-19 Surges in Grant County-MHS Changes Schedule

Today, September 28, the Milbank School District announced that tomorrow, September 29, it will implement a Maroon and Gold schedule.

According to Superintendent Justin Downes, the new schedule will be in effect through October 9. Downes says the change only affects high school students and is expected to slow the spread of COVID-19. High school sports and activities will continue.

During the Maroon and Gold schedule, half of the high school students perform distance learning by Zoom while the other half attends school in person. Attendance will be recorded for both. 

The schedule includes: September 29 and 30 – Maroon. October 1 and 2 – Gold.

October 5 and 6 – Maroon. October 7 is a work day at home for all students. October 8 and 9 – Gold.
