The Milbank Bulldogs wrapped up their 2020 football season with a presentation of awards by head coach Brian Allmendinger. Team awards were voted on by the team and recognized outstanding performance in each category or position. The Offensive Lineman of the Year was Toby Schneck. The Defensive Lineman of the Year was Maddox Hanson. The Offensive Player of the Year was Marshall Voeltz. The Defensive Player of the Year was Bennett Schwenn. The Special Teams Player of the Year was Karson Weber, and the Junior Varsity Player of the Year was Barrett Schneck.
Players who earned All-Northeast Conference honors included Maddox Hanson, Toby Schneck, Bennett Schwenn, and Marshall Voeltz. Kaden Krause and Jace Rufer each received an honorable mention. All-Northeast Conference winners were voted in by the head coaches of the conference.
Jared Johnson and Mason Riley were named to the South Dakota High School Activities Association Academic All-State team. This award recognizes seniors who participated in at least three years of football and also maintained a grade point average of 3.5 or higher.
Bennett Schwenn and Marshall Voeltz were named to the Class 11A All-State team. This state-wide award recognizes the best players in the 11A classification according to position. Players are selected by a vote of the head coaches in 11A. Schwenn was named the all-state special teams player and Voeltz received an honorable mention as the H-back.
Players receiving a Major M included: Seniors – Will Cummins, Jared Johnson, Parker Schell, Toby Schneck, Micah Dietmeier, Matt Christensen, Brendan Engebretson, Mason Riley, and Tanner Mertens; Juniors – Michael Karges, Jack Sandvig, Marshall Voeltz, Kaden Krause, Kellen Hoeke, Karson Weber, Evan Hausauer, Bennett Schwenn, Isaac Schulte, Leyton Raffety, Jace Rufer, Connor Bender, Maddox Hanson, Wylie Mursu, and Carter Bowsher; Sophomores – Sawyer Gauer, Justus Osborn, Aiden Foell, Barrett Schneck, and Eli Johnson.
Minor M recipients included: Seniors – Trevor Jankord; Juniors – Stevie Ash, Benett Street, Ryker Trevett, and Aiden Rabe; Sophomores – Khayri Bergman, Brayden Christensen, Jackson Bohlen, Tyler Lee, Will Snaza, Nick Anderson, Luis Berrones, Jacob Shelstad, and Tice Mursu; and Freshmen – Garrett Mertens, Caleb Rick, Jayden Johnson, Conner Stricherz, Payton Brown, Joe Schulte, Aiden Quintanilla, Jacob Johnson, Avery VanOverbeke, Jackson Hausauer, Landon Novy, Jairek Frazee, Raul Berrones, and Daniel Shelstad.
