Signup for two USDA programs ends on December 11:

Enrollment for the Coronavirus Food Assistance Program (CFAP 2) began September 21 and runs through December 11. The USDA has pledged up to an additional $14 billion for agricultural producers who continue to face market disruptions and associated costs because of COVID-19. Apply at your Farm Service Agency (FSA) county office.

Signup for Dairy Margin Coverage (DMC) for 2021 also ends December 11. DMC is a voluntary risk management program that offers protection to dairy producers when the difference between the all-milk price and the average feed price (the margin) falls below a dollar amount selected by the producer. DMC payments were triggered for seven months in 2019 and three months so far in 2020.

All USDA Service Centers are only open in person by appointment. Contact the Grant County FSA office at 605.432.6570- Extension 2 or visit www.farmers.gov.
