The MHS Choir presented 72 members, including 31 vocal soloists, during the 2021 Region III Solo and Ensemble Music Contest on February 24.
Solo performances were based on the following criteria: tone, intonation, accuracy, interpretation, vocal technique and performance factors such as literature choice and professional conduct. Ensemble groups were also critiqued on balance/blend.
The vocalists from Milbank received two Superior Plus ratings (I+), 26 Superior ratings (I) and nine Excellent ratings. Mrs. Kristi Seehafer and Mrs. Deb Rausch helped the voice students prepare and provided musical accompaniment.
