MHS sophomore Maurina Street is The Valley Express Most Valuable Player for Winter Sports 2021 for the week of February 22-27. Maurina is a five-foot-ten forward on the Lady Bulldogs basketball team.
Last week, Maurina lit up the scoreboard for the Lady Bulldogs, when they upset the Groton Tigers 46-43 in the opening round of the Region 1A tournament. She poured in 20 points and grabbed five rebounds. She also had one assist, two steals, and a blocked shot.
But, Maurina has been a force for the Lady Bulldogs all season. She scored over 20 points in three games and landed in double figures over 10 times. As she is only a sophomore, the future burns bright for this Lady Bulldog! Maurina is the daughter of Jason and Jodi Street.
