William, Hope and Susan Karels Attend All-State Band

The 71st Annual South Dakota High School All-State Band Grand Concert was held at the Mitchell Performing Arts Center on March 26 and March 27.  William Karels, an MHS junior tuba player, played in the Wallace Band, which was conducted by Dr. Jacob Wallace of SDSU. Hope Karels, MHS freshman bass clarinet played in the LaCognata Band, which was conducted by Dr. John LaCognata of USD. Susan Karels, band director for MHS, accompanied William and Hope to Mitchell.
