Voters in Big Stone City will cast their ballots for mayor and one alderman in the municipal election on Tuesday, April 13. Polls will remain open from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. at the Big Stone Community Center at 400 Washington Street.
Mayoral candidates include the incumbent, Deborah Wiik, and challenger Randy Athey. The mayor is reelected every two years. The only other contest on the ballot is for alderman in Ward I. It is also a two-year term. Incumbent Gary Longhenry is being challenged by Christina Athey.
