Two MHS mixed quartets were selected to join nearly 1000 voices and a full symphony orchestra for the 69th Annual South Dakota All-State Chorus and Orchestra. The Grand Concert was held on Saturday, October 30, at the newly-constructed Summit Arena in Rapid City.
The musicians were under the direction of Dr. Russell Svenningsen of Augustana College and Dr. Kevin F.E. Sutterlin of Concordia College of Moorhead, Minnesota.
Milbank vocal students performing were Maiah Brown, Ellie Neugebauer, Hailey Hupke, Isabella Vogel, Isaac Schulte, William Karels, Max
Lightfield and Isaac Sousa. Miriam Schwenn is the Milbank choir director.
During the event, Milbank seniors, William Karels and Isaac Sousa were recognized for their four-year participation in all-state choir.
