The Valley Express sponsored an evening of glitz and glamour Saturday night at the annual Milbank Snow Queen Festival on November 20, 2021. Tenley Wildung was crowned the new 2022 Miss Milbank. She is the daughter of Molly and Nathan Henrich, and Reid and Shelly Wildung. Tenley was sponsored by Flat Rate Inc., Urban Threads Clothing and Big Stone American Legion. Amy Nelson, 2020 Miss Milbank, crowned her successor.
Alexis Ninneman was named first runner-up and wins a $250 scholarship. Taryn Dusky was second runner-up and wins a $150 scholarship.
Local kindergarten and first grade girls also vied for the title of Little Miss Milbank. Olivia Montag, the daughter of Jacob and Megan Montag is the kindergarten Little Miss Milbank. Charlotte Holscher, the daughter of Aron and Betsy Holscher, is the first grade Little Miss Milbank.
