Gemma Street, Hailey Hupke, Brooke Schwagel, and Ivy Lewno are headed to South Dakota’s Oral Interp Festival in Huron on December 3-4. The students qualified for State at the Region IV A Competition on November 16 in Aberdeen.
According to coach Natasha Karels, Street placed first in the Humor division, H. Hupke placed second in Storytelling, and Brooke Schwagel and Ivy Lewno each placed third –Schwagel in Drama and Lewno in Non-Original Oratory.
Jacob Shelstad, H. Hupke, Schwagel and Lewno also competed in Reader’s Theater. Kadence Rausch-Frank participated in Poetry, and H. Hupke and Cooper Hupke competed in the Duo division.
Assistant coach Tina Balling helped the students prepare for the regional event, and assistant coach Sandy Christensen accompanied the team to Aberdeen.
