The 30th Annual North Area Honor Band presented their finale concert on Saturday, December 4, at the Johnson Fine Arts Center on the campus of Northern State University. Dr. Rolf Olson of NSU served as the guest conductor.
Milbank participants included: Front Row – Seated: Maurina Street (junior alto sax), Hattie Muellenbach (senior alto sax), Savannah Stengel (senior clarinet), Jacquie Wold (senior clarinet), Hope Karels (sophomore bass clarinet), Sophia Whitlow (sophomore clarinet), Brooke Mumbauer (sophomore flute), Ruth Luis Gomez (freshman flute), and Isabella Vogel (sophomore flute).
Back Row – Standing: Ellie Neugebauer (junior clarinet), Natalie Meyer (senior alto sax), Savanna Osowski (senior trumpet), Alex DeLaRosa (freshman clarinet), Merik Junker (junior percussion), Isaac Schulte (senior trumpet), Isaac Sousa (senior trumpet), Luis Berrones (junior bass clarinet), Shane Spiering (freshman bari sax), Joe Schulte (sophomore euphonium), William Karels (senior tuba), Addie Farrell (junior clarinet), and Dr. Rolf Olson-NSU Honor Band Conductor.
This year, William Karels and Isaac Schulte marked the completion of four years as North Area Honor Band participants. The students were accompanied to the event by MHS Band Director Susan Karels and Deb Rausch, who serves as the Milbank All-State lesson instructor.
