The Grant County Farm & Home Show returns for its 73rd year on January 14-15. The annual event showcases the latest agricultural technology and services, along with home-related trends. The Farm & Home Show is held at the Milbank High School.

“The Grant County Farm & Home Show brings our community together during the winter months,” says Laurie Folk, Milbank Area Chamber of Commerce Director. “There is something for everyone of all ages.”

Crop Show and Farmers Appreciation Breakfast The Milbank Area Chamber of Commerce Ag Committee hosts a crop show for area farmers to display the fruits of their labor. The Farmers Appreciation Breakfast, also hosted by the ag committee, is set for Saturday, January 15, from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m.
“It’s a time for us to say thank you and recognize the many farmers in our county who grow the food and fiber, and urban industries and businesses that create and supply the products that are essential to our lives,” says Folk.

Annual Lego Contest The annual LEGO Contest, held in partnership with the Grant County 4-H program, gets creative on Saturday, January 15.  Anyone age four and up is encouraged to participate. Preregistration is required by January 6. Contact the Grant County 4-H office at 605.432.9221 for registration details.

Crop Exhibit Categories and Guidelines Entries in the crop exhibits must have been grown in South Dakota in 2021 by the exhibitor. Exhibitors who submit crops will be entered into a drawing for $100 in Ol’ Mill Bucks. Drawings will be held for both the adult and youth divisions.

Categories include: CLASS A– GRAIN One-gallon sample required for all grain crops, unless otherwise noted. Awards of $20, $15, and $10 to first, second, and third in grain class.
