MHS Vocalists Judged at Region III Music Contest

Milbank vocalists received two Superior Plus ratings (I+), 18 Superior ratings (I) and 18 Excellent ratings at the 2022 Region III Solo and Ensemble Music Contest on Wednesday, February 23, in Watertown.

Fifty-two MHS choir members, including 32 soloists participated. 
Solo performances were based on the following criteria: tone, intonation, accuracy, interpretation, vocal technique and performance factors such as literature choice and professional conduct. Ensemble groups were also critiqued on balance and blend. Each area of concern was worth five points and the total at the end of each performance resulted in the overall rating. 

The students are under the direction of Miriam Schwenn. Mrs. Kristi Seehafer and Mrs. Deb Rausch assisted students to prepare for the contest, and they also offered musical accompaniment.
