Agricultural producers in Grant County must submit crop acreage reports to the USDA Farm Service Agency (FSA) by the July 15 deadline to be eligible for most USDA programs. To pick up your 2022 acreage report map, call the Grant County FSA office at  605.432.6570, Extension 2. Service center staff continue to work with producers via phone, email, and other digital tools. Contact the office to set up an in-person or phone appointment.

Producers will need to provide crop and crop type or variety, intended use of the crop, number of acres of the crop, planting date(s), producer shares, irrigation practice(s), and acreage prevented from planting, when applicable. Producers should also report crop acreage they intended to plant, but due to natural disaster, were unable to plant.

Prevented planting acreage must be reported on form CCC-576, Notice of Loss, no later than 15 calendar days after the final planting date as established by FSA and USDA’s Risk Management Agency. The final planting date for Grant County is May 15 for spring wheat, May 25 for corn, and June 10 for soybeans.
