Representative Dusty Johnson (R-S.D.) was in Milbank on Monday, June 27, to present commemorative pins to Vietnam veterans. “So many of our Vietnam veterans weren’t welcomed home properly. This ceremony is a small way to right that wrong and give recognition that’s long overdue. I’m grateful for the opportunity to look these veterans in the eye and say, ‘Thank you.’”
Representative Johnson has honored more than 300 South Dakota Vietnam veterans in the last year in his travels across the state. The Vietnam Commemoration Program is dedicated to this mission and is in partnership with the Department of Defense and the U.S. Congress.
