Pick Up Starts on Fire in Milbank

The Milbank Fire Department was dispatched to a vehicle fire at about 2:45 p.m. on Thursday, July 7.  The Ford pickup owned by Steve Mogard began burning at 216 North 2nd Street in Milbank.

Milbank’s fire chief, David Giesen, said, “Firefighters quickly extinguished the flames and protected a nearby detached garage. Firefighters remained on the scene for approximately 30 minutes.”

According to Chief Giesen, the Milbank Fire Department was assisted by the Milbank Police Department and the Grant County Sheriff’s Office.
