Milbank Glass & More has been owned by the Quale family for 25 years, but it recently purchased a new home. The business is in the process of moving from its location at 103 East 4th Avenue to the 28,000 square-foot building that formerly housed Hanson-Torness Furniture and then Ace Hardware at 1504 Morningside Drive on East Highway 12. Valley Queen purchased the Quale’s property on 4th Avenue.

Austin Quale, who grew up learning the glass business from his mother and father and now works alongside them, says, “My parents, Corrie and Karin Quale, purchased Milbank Glass back in 1997 from Victor and Jan Pepka.”

Over the years, the company has evolved and they now offer commercial storefronts, heavy equipment glass, automotive glass, handicapped-accessible doors, glass showers, custom mirrors, phantom screens, and locksmith services. Their team now includes four employees. The Quale’s also plan to offer climate-controlled storage areas.

Austin says, “We hope to have the business completely moved by the end of July, and we can’t wait to provide great service for our current customers and meet new ones.”
