Milbank’s Bent Arrow Shooters competed at the 2022 State 3D Tournament on July 9-10 at the Whitetail Bowman Archery Club in Aberdeen. David Cizadlo won first place in his division. Dwight Peschong took second place in his division, and Josh Anderson and Arnie Veen took third-place honors in their respective divisions.
3D archery gets its name from the three-dimensional, realistic-looking animal targets used to challenge archers. The targets in Aberdeen ranged from a deer and turkey to a moose, and were situated on a course imitating a river bottom. This mimicked potential scenarios bowhunters face in the field and created unique angles and real-life hunting opportunities.
Mark Veen, owner of Bent Arrow Archery Range & Pro Shop said, Great shooting by all who participated in the 3D tournament! We hope to see everyone at the South Dakota State Outdoor Tournament to be held at Hartford Beach State Park July 30-31.
