Whetstone Valley Electric Cooperative (WVEC) welcomes new employees Mark Haaven and Zach Cramer. Riley Przybycien also worked with the organization this past summer.

Haaven, who grew up in Milbank and graduated from MHS, joined the WVEC team as a fulltime journeyman electrician. He and his wife, Brandi, have lived in the Sioux Falls area for the last 15 years. They have one adult son, Alex. Mark is a member of the National Guard, Milbank VFW, and the Big Stone Legion. He says he is looking forward to being back in his hometown and getting in a game or two of golf in his free time.

Zach Cramer also hails from Milbank, and he joined the WVEC team in August. Cramer will be adding value to the member services department in the role of full-time apprentice electrician. He and his wife, Emily (Dornbusch), are expecting their first child in October. In his spare time, Cramer likes to hunt, fish, golf, and work with the 4H Shooting Sports and the Milbank Valley Archers.

Riley Przybycien was hired as a temporary employee for the summer. Jon Christensen, WVEC Operations Manager, commented, “Riley fit right in and went right to work. He has been an asset to the team during the busy construction season.” Riley, who is also from Milbank, graduated from Mitchell Technical Institute in May 2022. He received a degree in power line construction and maintenance.
