Summit firefighters were dispatched to a tractor and feed shed fire at Lakeside Dairy in Ortley at approximately 6 a.m. on Monday, September 26.
The Waubay Fire Department and South Shore Fire Department offered mutual aid. The Grant County Sheriff’s Department, Grant County Emergency Management, and Grant-Roberts Ambulance also responded.
Firefighters were able to extinguish the blaze and keep the fire from spreading to large hay shed nearby. Firefighters from the Summit and Waubay teams remained on the scene to remove and process the burning feed products.
