Six Members Inducted Into National Honor Society at Summit

Jackson Wohlleber, Allison Bauer, Ava Breske, Madison Zirbel, Madelyn Hinkelman, and Jillian Bauer were inducted into the National Honor Society (NHS) on October 6 in Summit. All six are juniors at Summit High School. A candlelit ceremony was hosted by the senior members to welcome the inductees and their families. A dessert buffet was served after the ceremony.
To meet the eligibility requirements f NHS, a student must be a junior or senior at Summit High School and have a cumulative GPA of 3.20 or better. The student must also demonstrate scholarship, character, leadership, care, and service. Once the qualifications are met, the student must submit an application and be accepted by a committee of Summit High School staff members.
Senior members of Summit’s NHS chapter include: Jorja Whempner, Katie Karst, Katie Minder, Damon Opdahl, Veronica Brown. Beth Hills is the NHS adviser at SHS.
