Susan Karels Earns 30-Year Meritorious Service Award

Susan Karels, the band instructor for grades six through 12 in the Milbank School District, was awarded a 30-Year Meritorious Service Award by the South Dakota Music Educators Association (SDMEA). 

Karels received her award from Erin McFarland of SDMEA during the awards banquet at the 2022 SDMEA Conference. The honor recognizes music educators who have been instructing for 25, 30, 35, 40, and 45 years. Karels is currently in her 31st year of teaching.  All 31 years have been in Milbank.
