Milbank Takes First in Washington Warrior Sweepstakes

MHS students brought home the Class A Sweepstakes trophy from the Washington Warrior Tournament held at Washington High School in Sioux Falls on Friday, November 11.  Qualon Grant in Novice Informative Oratory and Shane Spiering in Novice Extemp. each earned first-place trophies.

The Warrior tournament is for individual competitors only: extemporaneous speaking, dramatic and humorous interp, poetry, reader’s theater, duo interp, and storytelling. Points are earned by each participant and totaled for the sweepstakes award. Every point counted as Milbank won by only one point.
The individual students are coached by Natasha Karels, Sandy Christensen, Tina Balling, and Kathy Tyler.
