Debaters Take Honors at Milbank Novice Tourney

MHS hosted 41 teams from four schools during the annual Milbank Novice Tournament on November 7.  Awards were given for perfect 3-0 records and for the highest speaker points. 

Four Milbank novice public forum teams earned a 3-0 record: Jocelyn Kettwig and Marnie VanLith; Elexia Quintanilla and Jericho Jones; Rylen Frerichs, who served as substitute partner for a Brookings student whose partner was unable to participate; and Ixtal Macias and Carlos Olivares Zuniga.

Quantanilla  and Jones also received the High Point Award. Max Schuelke earned a 2-0 record in Novice Lincoln-Douglas debate.
