Tracy Dozak, a family nurse practitioner, has joined Ortonville Area Health Services (OAHS) and will begin seeing patients on July 3. Tracy will provide services at Northside Medical Clinic in Ortonville and the OAHS Clinton Clinic in Clinton.
“We are excited to welcome Tracy Dozak to our provider group and medical team here at OAHS,” says Director Liz Sorenson. “She has a great understanding of what it takes to provide whole-person and family care. We also look forward to utilizing her expertise in staffing the Clinton Clinic.”Tracy obtained her B.S. in nursing from Bemidji State University in 2009. In 2013, she completed her M.S. in nursing from the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks. Most recently, Tracy worked for eight years as a nurse practitioner at Essentia Health in Wahpeton, North Dakota. She also brings a wide range of experience as a CNA, EMT, and RN. In her current role, she will be providing holistic care for patients in the scope of family practice by primarily focusing on preventative, evidenced-based medicine. “Tracy also has strong ties to the area,” Sorenson says. She is originally from Blackduck and resided in Wahpeton for the past 15 years. The Ortonville area is already familiar to Tracy as she and her husband and two sons have been visiting it for several years for recreational purposes. Tracy and her family are now excited to relocate and enjoy all of its outdoor opportunities. “My sons (13 and nine) love to fish, hunt, and play sports,” Tracy says. “Basically they love to be outside, and they are thrilled to be able to fish every day!”
“I look forward to the privilege of helping to keep the community healthy,” Tracy added. “It takes a community to raise a family. Therefore, we must be invested in the health and wellness of the community so they can assist in raising our children.”
Tracy was hired by OAHS using a long-standing recruitment partnership between OAHS and the Big Stone Health Care Foundation. Their collaboration has brought over twenty providers to the area.
