Milbank Firefighters Save Building

Fire Chief David Giesen reports the Milbank Fire and Rescue team was dispatched to the Thomas Stoick residence at 15053 SD Hwy 15 on Tuesday, June 13. The call came in at approximately 1:30 pm. 

Upon arrival, firefighters discovered flames from a burn barrel had started some pallets and trees on fire. The blaze had also spread to a nearby building. Firefighters were able to suppress the fire, which resulted in only minor damage to the structure. According to Chief Giesen, members of the Milbank department remained on the scene for about 45 minutes.
