The Valley Queen Charitable Foundation presented a $250,000 donation to the Milbank School District for the expansion of the Career and Technical Education (CTE) department. The funds will support the purchase of specialized equipment to enhance CTE classes.

“I want to thank the Valley Queen Charitable Foundation for donating to the new CTE expansion,” said  Superintendent Justin Downes. “This will be a truly remarkable space filled with state-of-the-art equipment. Students will now have a chance to be exposed to modern technology and career opportunities in extremely technical fields.”

The CTE expansion is underway and is slated to open for classes this fall. “We are proud to help equip the new CTE facility at Milbank High School,” Doug Wilke, chair of the Valley Queen Charitable Foundation, said. “Careers in robotics, construction, and manufacturing continue to be more and more specialized. We hope this contribution helps enrich students’ lives for years to come.”
