MHS Marching Band Takes Third Place at Festival of Bands

The Milbank High School band concluded their marching season at the 2023 Festival of Bands in Sioux Falls on Saturday, October 7. The MHS band received third place in the AA division and eighth place overall. Sioux Falls Christian earned first place in the AA Division.  

Susan Karels serves as the high school and middle school band director. Color guard instruction is provided by Kristi Seehafer and volunteer Jamie DeBoer. 

Milbank’s annual Band-Parent Night was celebrated on Friday, October 6, during the home football game. All band students in grades 6-12 were featured as the halftime entertainment. The 32 senior marching band members and their parents were also recognized.
