A new flag was flying outside Milbank High School on Friday, November 3, thanks to the VFW Auxiliary, Jo Gilliland, and Phil Seehafer. The flag arrived ahead of the annual Veterans Day program to be held at the Milbank Armory on November 10 at 11 a.m.

Gilliland, the chairperson of Americanism for the VFW Auxiliary #3486 in Milbank, presented the flags to MHS Principal Dan Snaza on Thursday, November 2.  Seehafer, head custodian for the Milbank School District and a veteran of Desert Storm and the Gulf War, is in charge of lowering and raising the flags and making sure they are in the proper condition.

The VFW Auxiliary also donated four indoor flags that will be displayed in the  classrooms of the recently completed addition to Milbank High School.
